I was a pupil around 1960-63. He wanted you to learn. But his method was to instil deep fear. Beatings were daily and savage. My two years at 4th and 5th class changed me forever. My confidence was destroyed. My self-esteem reduced to nothing. Long lasting anxiety and depression stunted my later personal and professional outcomes. I was not alone. That is no consolation to me. Thank God Minister John Boland abolished corporal punishment in 1983. For too many like me this came too late.

Ms. O'Bryan, St.Poseghs

Rating: 1 out of 5.

This teacher was the worst teacher of the intire school mabey even country!!! She would stare at me and all the boys for the intire break and wouldn't keep her eye's of us like we did something wrong. Ms. O'Bryan would swear in class and once threw a stapler across the class because we wouldn't stop talking during a discussion in are pairs. She would scream help down the halls when we would mess. Once when a security guard came in are class because she screamed help and we all got detention. She was the worst French teacher and would never speak French in class but would on break expecting we would know what she said.
