Edwin Kuhl, 266 Joule St, Alcoa, TN, 37701

Rating: 1 out of 5.

Dr. Kuhl has been my family physician for 10+ years. Until recently I had never experienced the belittling, talk down to your patients as I had often heard he could be. Not only did he refer to me as being incoherent, (which I wasn't) but he become so verbally abusive that by the time the exam was over, I left the exam room in tears. My recent for the unplanned visit was due to a fall I had experienced on a Saturday night and again on a Sunday evening. Because I had been diagnosed with thinning bones 4 years ago and subsequently prescribed medication for the condition, I have been especially careful have how I walked, slowing down my stride, and given up horse back riding. The falls I took placed great stress on my joints, hips, knees, and lower back. Long story short, the good doctor has lost a patient for good. I will never allow this person to examine me again. I will never use East Tennessee Medical Group again. The treatment I have received from this group since reaching my 62 birthday has been less than stellar. No one deserves to be treated in such a mean, hateful and cruel way, especially when said patient was in excruciating pain, could barely walk, and exhausted due to lack of sleep. I considered filing a review with the state medical board, but instead decided to post a review on this site first. I will pray in earnest that someone on the medical review board will eventually conduct a review on Dr. Kuhl's unprofessional conduct toward his patients. I know I'm not the only patient he has treated so poorly. My uncle was also a patient of his a few years ago and was subjected to the same type of verbal abuse, lack of caring from Dr. Kuhl. His bedside manner has a lot to be desired. His uncaring attitude, verbally abusive tone is unacceptable. Another incident with this doctor was the misdiagnoses on me in 2013. He kept insisting the pain in my chest, running down my left arm, and shortness of breath was heart related. First off I have no relatives who have ever had heart problems. Secondly, it took two trips to the emergency room and 7 months to get this man to refer me to a gastroenterology specialist. As it turned out my gall bladder was on the verge of shutting down. The emergency room doctor on my 2nd visit discovered the problem and thank goodness he did. Otherwise I probably would not be sitting here filing a review 6 years later. Thank you for reading the post and I hope the word gets out so that no one has to endure what I went through on Monday, November 25, 2019.

I had a general doctor that was put out of business by a large hospital after 35 yrs. of work. I take a few xanax pills that my general doctor would prescribe for me since I was having panic attacks for 28 yrs(I am 66 and a good athlete). I have had some heart surgeries and a heart attack at 40 but my last surgery was preventative 6 yrs ago and I am in better shape than most people. I used to teach tennis 40 yrs ago and I still play for 2 hours at a time. I had to find a new doctor and at the present doctors are not allowed to prescribe controlled substances. This doctor I saw for the first time 4 days ago and was supposed to prescribe me 2 weeks of Buspar to take along with my .5 mg xanax pills that he didn't give a prescription for and said he would after 2 weeks. He gave me a sample of Rexulti to take for 2 weeks along with my xanax pills(whose prescription expired July 2nd but he noticed I still had enough for about 2 weeks. To this day he has not sent a prescription to Walmart for Buspar and I called his office to find out what is going on. I called them yesterday too. I think he might be irresponsible and I don't trust him right now. I will try to find a new doctor who said I had to see a psychiatrist to get a prescription for those xanax pills. I never did before and I don't take them to get high. I take a half pill in the morning, 1.5 pills before I do 2 hours of exercise and the rest by 2am. The medical world is disgusting. My wife, 69 yrs old, came down with lung cancer 2 yrs ago when we moved into her mother's home to take care of her. Now my mother-in law came down 9 months ago(she's 94) with alzheimers and broke her hip on 12/31/2018 and can't see or hear. I hide down in the basement in this 120 yr old mancave with my own TV, computer, printer and phone. Life is great. I am 66 and have medicare and Aetna. Hardly any money(used to have money to buy a house for cash 12 yrs ago when I moved to NJ but I rented instead). I have nothing coming in wills and I guess I better stay in shape so I can work part time and get social security. I don't feel like working anymore , so I take each day at a time.

Dr. Alejandro G. Tapia, 10301 hagen ranch road, boynton beach, FL

Rating: 1 out of 5.

Blatant Disregard Nov 6, 2018 I have never in all my 37 1/2 years of constant pain have I ever been treated so poorly with such cold blatant disregard. He said he would help he had no intention of helping. Far more interested in getting me there for 3 appointments and collect his fees he prescribed the incorrect amount of medication that I have been taking this is a reduced dose that is matter of record and can be verified. Dr Tapia is self center I think the term is self verified. He was far more interested in implanting a pain device, at a high fee I would guess. Upon learning that I have hypersensitive nerve endings I could not use his device he did not prescribe the remaining amount in a partial script as promised. He made me wait 5 days dodging my calls leaving me on hold for 39 minutes disconnected the call, I called back a 15 minute return call was I promised they would return my call after talking to the doctor they never returned the call. I asked if he was not going to prescribe as promised please tell me now, 2 calls later the office finally admitted he was not going to prescribe as promised on Oct 24, now on Nov 6th after 5 days of calling and waiting they could have told me sooner I could have seen another doctor in that time and not run out of medication. I did get appointment in 3 days with a new doctor but I'm out of medication upset in more pain from this experience. 9 back surgeries both hips replaced, my knee was damaged with hip replacement, shoulder pain and more. This man could care less how much pain I am in, He never examined me didn't even look. The office twisted my words as if this was my fault that I didn't understand I'm not foolish. Dr. Langley, #6 Medical Drive, Amarillo, TX

Rating: 1 out of 5.

In two visits.....both Dr.Langley has shown both racists and unethical acts by not providing information in a timely manner to Dr. Cosselli, my primary surgeon for the aneurysm of my aorta. They have repeatedly ignored both my and Dr. Cosselli's staffs request for test results that are vital to my health.

Sara A. Ramirez, 26800 crown valley pkwy suite 525, Mission Viejo

Rating: 1 out of 5.

This review is specifically for DR. SARA RAMIREZ of Mission Hospital - Mission Viejo and Saddleback Memorial Medical Center- Laguna Hills. My rating would be a ZERO if there was an option. I hope this review will help save some soon-to-be parents from the experience we had. My husband and I are having our very first baby and as a first pregnancy it can be very stressful. This "doctor" was so dismissive about every concern we had and on top of it gave us FALSE and unnecessary test results; stating that our baby will absolutely be born with specific complications. When we asked Sara Ramirez for specifics on the test results, she was unable to give us clear answers and referred us to a genetic counselor. We met with a genetic counselor who was able to explain our test results in a more caring and precise way that made me and my husband less worried and more informed. Our genetic counselor who SPECIALIZES with this specific testing actually told us that chances were not as high or as problematic as the doctor told us they would be. That the test simply showed a non-specific abnormality and that it was too soon to be certain what it was, or if it would even still be there at full term. After talking with this specialist we were relieved! Already hesitant to continue my visits with Sara Ramirez, I figured I would give her the benefit of the doubt, thinking that she was having an off day... I had to schedule an emergency visit with her because I had gotten into a car accident and was hit pretty hard while stopped at a red light. Before talking with her about the details of the accident, she cuts me off, doesn't ask if I'm ok, and the first thing she says is "Oh you're fine, nothing to worry about." This was unsettling because she didn't check me or ask about the details of the accident. (I would have hoped for more care from the person I'm supposed to entrust with the health of my unborn child.) Sara Ramirez then asked how my appointment went with the genetic counselor and I told her that the specialist was very informative with the test results and that my husband and I felt comfortable and more assured moving forward with the pregnancy. Disregarding what the trained specialist told us, she then said, "you know that the test is 99% positive that your baby will have this 'specific complication'". She then continued to speak to me in a very demeaning manner as if I wasn't making the right decision. It was almost as if she was persuading me to get an abortion. I was baffled that this lady was questioning my decision even after I told her multiple times that I was going to keep my baby. This doctor seems more interested in preserving the idea that she is "right" in her conclusions rather than truly caring for her patients. If you want to feel worthless then "Doctor" Sara Ramirez is the perfect doctor for you. Otherwise, please don't put yourself through the same stress we had been put through with her ill-informed, uncaring and un-compassionate bedside manner.

John Denning, San Diego, CA, 92130

Rating: 1 out of 5.

Terrible Doctor! Dr. John Denning treated my son for a deep splinter in my his foot. The nurse, Tanya, flat out lied to us saying that the tetanus vaccine had no other vaccines in it. The next day, another nurse, Jill, told us that our son had received a T-DaP. Not what we wanted!!! In addition, Dr. Denning hacked out a tremendous amount of flesh from my son's foot - way more than was necessary. Now my son is in a high level of pain - both from the surgery and from the vaccine. Terrible experience all the way around!
