Fernando Navarro, 2 medical parkrd, Columbia, SC, 29203

Rating: 1 out of 5.

My appointment today with Dr. Navarro was awful. Dr.Navarro is taking over Dr. Nottingham's patients & told me he didn't like going behind another physician's work & he had his patients too. Why agree to take on other patients if you don't go behind another physician’s work? He didn't read my chart before my appointment. He had the nerves to ask did I think he would take me to the operating room & haven't developed a rapport with me. I've completed so much testing for my condition & Dr. Navarro made me feel as I wasn't worthy of his time or GREAT health care because of my skin color. He figured he could tell me anything & I would go for it! The sad part of the entire visit, Dr. Navarre, keep telling me he would ensure I receive my$35 co-pay back. He arrived late to the appointment & wanted to spend 2 minutes with me to walk & head to his next patient. Dr. Navarro took an oath to provide health care to individuals but he only cares about you if your skin isn't brown/black. Please be mindful when you go see Dr. Fernando Navarro located at USC SURGERY 2 MEDICAL PARK STE 300 COLUMBIA, SC 29203.

John E Stavrakus, 102 Sum Mor Dr, West Columbia, SC

Rating: 5 out of 5.

I went to Dr. Stavrakus for numbness in both feet. He recommended that I take Motor NCS and sensory EMG test which uses electrical shock testing waveforms. On my next visit I was under the impression that I would be talking to Dr. Stavrakus about the results of my tests. To my surprise I did not see the doctor but instead was put into a room with two young ladies. They suggested to me several shots in each ankle one or two times a week for 5 to 10 weeks called nerve blocks, which consists of shots of dextrose (corn syrup and water). They had a cart with the shots and ready to go.This was to "Relive my pain". I never told anyone on Vitalaty Medical staff that I had any pain. I have numbness in both feet which has no pain. I am also a diabetic and I think sugar water may be a bad thing for me. These injections are very expensive and are not covered by my insurance. After conferring with my family doctor, my opinion on Prolotherapy/Nerve Blocks is that it's a controversial form of therapy, and Vitality Medical try's to push it. I am sure glad I checked out Vitality Medical on line before I let them talk me into the shots. There was also some startling information about Dr. John Stavrakus on line when I did some research.Patient/ Buyer beware!

Dr. Redmond is an asset to any practice. He is a top notch Dr. but also a wonderful person that cares about his patients. He is one of my most favorite Drs ever and has been caring for me since 7/2008. Excellent!

One of the worst physicians I have ever dealt with. No bedside skills, patient empathy, medical competence, lack of procedure followup, etc.. After his procedure I experienced extensive bleeding for days. It took him 5 days to respond to my calls for a resolution to the problem. Removal of an internal stent a nightmare regarding pain with no local anesthesia. Great nusing staff supporting a terrible doctor. Use anyone but him

I had a general doctor that was put out of business by a large hospital after 35 yrs. of work. I take a few xanax pills that my general doctor would prescribe for me since I was having panic attacks for 28 yrs(I am 66 and a good athlete). I have had some heart surgeries and a heart attack at 40 but my last surgery was preventative 6 yrs ago and I am in better shape than most people. I used to teach tennis 40 yrs ago and I still play for 2 hours at a time. I had to find a new doctor and at the present doctors are not allowed to prescribe controlled substances. This doctor I saw for the first time 4 days ago and was supposed to prescribe me 2 weeks of Buspar to take along with my .5 mg xanax pills that he didn't give a prescription for and said he would after 2 weeks. He gave me a sample of Rexulti to take for 2 weeks along with my xanax pills(whose prescription expired July 2nd but he noticed I still had enough for about 2 weeks. To this day he has not sent a prescription to Walmart for Buspar and I called his office to find out what is going on. I called them yesterday too. I think he might be irresponsible and I don't trust him right now. I will try to find a new doctor who said I had to see a psychiatrist to get a prescription for those xanax pills. I never did before and I don't take them to get high. I take a half pill in the morning, 1.5 pills before I do 2 hours of exercise and the rest by 2am. The medical world is disgusting. My wife, 69 yrs old, came down with lung cancer 2 yrs ago when we moved into her mother's home to take care of her. Now my mother-in law came down 9 months ago(she's 94) with alzheimers and broke her hip on 12/31/2018 and can't see or hear. I hide down in the basement in this 120 yr old mancave with my own TV, computer, printer and phone. Life is great. I am 66 and have medicare and Aetna. Hardly any money(used to have money to buy a house for cash 12 yrs ago when I moved to NJ but I rented instead). I have nothing coming in wills and I guess I better stay in shape so I can work part time and get social security. I don't feel like working anymore , so I take each day at a time.
