Whose idea was it to close the conveniently and accessible Tweed Valley Hospital and move it from Tweed Heads to Cudgen? It has increased the morbidity and mortality by 28%! They merely needed to refurbish the Tweed Heads Hospital at a mere cost of $25 million. What a tort of taxpayers money! The catacomb of the new hospital and the reduction in general medical, surgical and consultation services is that significant - it makes the new hospital redundant!
