Got a review about this good for nothing lawyer Joyce W. Lindauer. Our family's experience is with her and her tiny team of legal specialists (rather special ed) in Ennis Tx. She also has an office in Dallas at 1412 Main St STE 500. My mother hired her for help with IRS and potential bankruptcy filing. My mother is old and trusting. Joyce convinced my mom to also use her legal team (just Joyce and some old guy that is a secretary and paralegal) to handle her estate planning. Joyce also referred my mother to a CPA office to handle her rental homes and other income. What a nightmare it has been. Joyce grossly overcharged my mom. At least 3X what any other reputable lawyer would have charged. Joyce's work is not acceptable. Typos, spelling errors, wrong addresses, and documents reference sections that do not exist. I think its all cut and paste documents Joyce found on the internet. The CPA Joyce referred also proved incompetent. She also overcharged and made several errors on my mom's financial statements which then caused errors in her federal tax filings. Now I am left cleaning up this mess and Joyce's office wants to charge me thousands of dollars to fix their mistakes. If I could give a negative 10 stars on this review, I would. Do your homework and research the many complaints filed against Joyce's law offices.

Quite possibly the dumbest old bird with a briefcase in the legal world. She can't spell and is late with everything. Everything requires multiple drafts because she makes so many mistakes. I'm fed up with her retardness.

Joyce lures you in with a free legal consultation. She proceeds to tell you how you are right and the other side is wrong. She makes it sound so simple to resolve. She gives a low estimate and retainer. Then she takes your money and you don't hear from her. You have to call her constantly to get anything done. If you look at her invoices, she charges you for every call even though you only called because you haven't heard from her. After she screws you out of the first retainer, she sends you a new bill that is twice the size of the first retainer. Once she is paid, she goes silent. And its back to the phone tag game. When her practice was in Ennis, Texas she had 13 Better Business Bureau complaints. She was rated a "F". She moved her office to Dallas, got a new address, changed her website, and now she has a clean slate. All of the negative reviews disappeared. Watch out for this attorney. She has a bad reputation has failed many of her clients. She is an entitled Karen WASP that should not be in business.

Joyce W Lindauer. I do not recommend her. You would think that since she is a lawyer, she would actually know the law or how to complete basic paperwork. You would be wrong. She totally screwed up my paperwork. After multiple attempts and thousands of dollars, we have to start everything over again because she got the entire process and paperwork wrong. Ughhhh. I am tired of dealing with these dumb, crooked attorneys.

I retained Joyce in 2019. First retainer was $2,500. Joyce gave me a rough estimate of $4-$5,000 and 6 months to resolve my legal matter. 3 years and $12,000 later, this idiot lawyer is still working on my case. I don't hear from her for months at a time. When I call, it takes 30 minutes to get her to remember who I am. Its like deja vu. I agree with the other reviewers. Joyce is not aging well and her mind is slipping. She is very good at remembering when you owe her money. That's about it. My friends have told me that she is ripping me off and probably charging me for the 30 minutes everything I have to re-explain who I am. Its 2023 and I will be looking for a new attorney. I recommend you take your business elsewhere. There are plenty of real lawyers in Dallas that work at big law firms. Joyce works with a part-time assistant and some young lawyer in training. Not much of a law office or firm, which is why I thought I was getting a cheap deal. Boy was I wrong.
