To start, I have never been so disappointed with the a service from any staff member in the Council Rock School district. The service that I have received from this guidance counselor is far below expectations. This year, debatably the most important year of my high school career, has been the worst year that I have ever endured. My classes have been messed up twice, both due to Mrs. Solit’s mistakes. I had one request going into this year and it was completely disregarded. The lack of care from her side has led me to be beyond stressed, and has even led to anxiety. From conversations with several other students and previous students of hers, I have become aware that I am not the only one who has had these issues with her. It has gotten to the point where my parents are concerned and have stepped in. My parents have attempted to speak with Mrs. Solit more than two times (ranging from phone calls to emails), and have gotten no response. Her “advice” contradicts everything I have ever been told. She has practically told me to give up. My advice to any student or parent that enters CR South and heard that she is your counselor is to request a change. Yells at us A LOT! assigns an annoying amount of homework, complains when we dont know the answers, also has a distracting voice thats hard to focus on! SHE IS SO BIAS AND PICKS FAVORITES! She marked 4 points off of my 16 point test just because i switched the numbers! but said "If you got onky 1 miss spelled i didnt mind it, but if you got more than that i took off half points" I at most shouldve gotten 2 points deducted!

Cheryl Finley she wants to be called frau Finley and she is a terrible teacher at south lakes who is absent A LOT and when she is in the classroom she throws busy work that she calls “projects” but it’s very obvious she wants to keep her students busy so she can be at her computer almost all the time. She also seems bothered if you ask her a question and half the time she’ll give you some bs answer that turns out to be wrong information eww bye lady

As a parent I have absolutely loved every teacher my child has had in this district. However, junior year Mrs Held has changed that. I am truly trying to find value in her, but it just isn’t there. She is rude to kids, she decides on day one how they will do (and admitted that to another parent). My child asked for some additional understanding, and her response was just to send the ruberik not actually answering the question. When she went back to her for further detail, Mrs Held responded back “college level”. While this is an honors class and all the kids have been in honors English classes since 7th grade that are in the class nowhere in the course description does it say college level and this is the class that was the option of you didn’t want to take AP but still had to stay in honors because average level wasn’t an option based on prior year course selection. She really needs to go retire and get a job at a community college if that’s what she feels she is capable of.
