Ray Jonathan Lara, 6340 North Campbell Ave., Tucson, AZ

Rating: 1 out of 5.

I was recently diagnosed with an ear infection on 06/23/18 by a local care provider. I sought out additional information from Sonoran ENT as a confirmation that the ear infection was reacting to anitbiotics prescribed and that nothing else was wrong with my inner--ear. I clearly stated to the staff at Sonoran ENT that I have never had an ear infection as a childe and that as an adult, I have no clue as to how an ear infection may impact my hearing, the duration of an ear infection, or what to expect from the healing process. On (06/27/18), Dr. Lara chose to remove cerumen (ear wax) he viewed with a binaural microscope using a procedure called, "micro suction." I have been dealing with tinnitus (ringing of the ears) and sensitivity to certain sounds ever since this procedure was performed. Up until the procedure, my ears were fine. At no time did Dr. Lara or the Sonoran ENT staff ever discuss the timeframe related to the healing process of an ear infection, nor did he ever discuss what to expect from an ear infection. Furthermore, he never discussed the potential harmful side effects of ear wax removal. Do yourself a favor and "Google" side effects of "micro suction." In speaking with two additional ENTs and nurses since the procedure, it has come to my attention that the advice given to me on 06/27/18 by Dr. Lara should have been to simply let the ear infection play out and then investigate other options if the antibiotics did not improve my situation. If Dr. Lara had an ounce of bed side manner or in this case any understanding of ear infections, he would have taken the time to explain the ear infection healing process and he as a professional ENT would have not chosen to remove what little ear wax may have been present. Unfortunately for me, he did not. Dr. Lara may have performed an unnecessary procedure at the cost of not only my pocket book, but my enjoyment of life. I am still a young adult. I highly recommend seeing a different ENT. I also highly recommend not letting anyone use the "micro suction" procedure on you.

He has no structure to his class and the way he teachers is abysmal. He gave a quiz and did not specify what it was on, he taught about bonding and Lewis structures and in the middle of the lecture he trailed off. He comes to class and sounds dead, and he’s like that for the rest of the lecture. I used to like chemistry, but now I dread it and never want to take it again

Bini Sebastian, University of Missouri-Columbia, Columbia, MO, 65201

Rating: 5 out of 5.

The class I took with Bini was Experiencing Cultural Diversity in the United States, which was an awesome class to take before I graduated from college. Also, this was my first time having a class as a discussion basis, but I would say I loved the way the class was organized and thought was a better way to learn knowledge in that form rather than sitting in the class just for taking notes. In the classroom, she guided us very well to talk about our experiences, views on certain things, and express our emotions, which is a good experience for me because I hardly speak in class before. On the other hand, she let us know how to be a good listener and show sympathy for the minorities and the injustice they suffer in this society. At first, I didn't like this class too much because the topics it discusses can easily drive your emotions and take you to a more real-world, which I am afraid to know. I am very grateful to Bini for everything she has done for me. We had several personal discussions after class, and she was very concerned about my feelings when talking about certain topics and making sure I was comfortable talking about them. In the process, the confidence and support she gave me helped me being easier to express my opinions in class and no longer afraid to talk about certain topics. The atmosphere in her class is really good. I can reflect on myself and the society in the process of learning, so as to improve my perspective on things and the way I talk to people. This is my luck in her classroom, and I hope she can eventually become a teacher and use her power to influence more students.

Kelly Clark, Curtis High School, University Place, WA, 98466

Rating: 1 out of 5.

She is so clueless. She has been unresponsive to my emails in the past. She does not know what she is doing and she doesn’t listen to the students when we explain the issues and our struggles. Last time we expressed how her assignments didn’t make sense, she almost started crying. I wish I had a different US history teacher this year. The school needs better training and she needs to stop making her own weird DIY assignments and she needs to just start working out of some textbook. She is a bad history teacher but also just a terrible teacher in general. I understand that she does this because she likes teaching, but she is not good at this. This class with her is a waste of my time. And I understand that she is struggling somewhat to distance learning, but this was just a bad year for her to return to teaching after her 6 year break. I know she is trying but in all honesty, Ms. Clark needs to either receive really good and impactful training, or stop teaching US History completely.

Mr. Martin, Butte College, Oroville, CA

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Mr Martin is a hard teacher, but one of the best I have ever had. He teaches US History to 1855, because of him I have a better understanding of where we came from as a people. He taught me the tools I need to OPEN my MIND and THINK for myself. NOT to be a follower, but to challenge the Establishment. Thank you.

Ramona Santiesteban, Scottsdale Community College, Scottsdale, AZ

Rating: 5 out of 5.

I am an adult learner who took Ramona's college class CP150 - I took it over the summer - 5 weeks, 5 days a week. She presented the material in a well structured manner, she was always on time, always available for questions, gave us ample time to complete homework assignments and was very interested in us succeeding not only in her class, but in our college career. She is a wonderful teacher, patient and kind and tough enough to keep you moving forward
