Rahul Bhaskar, Optum, Santa Ana, CA

Rating: 1 out of 5.

Rahul Bhaskar at Optum was the worst boss I have ever had. When he first came to lead the Informatics team at Optum he setup a lunch for only the Indian team members which made me feel I wasn't welcome on the team. He created an unclear structure within the department where people on teams were unable to support functions they had no knowledge or training. He lied to my face on many occasions and made such a hostile work environment that I resigned. Do not work for this individual if you are not Indian, he is racist.

Lisa wilson, Trinity baptist, Santa Monica, CA

Rating: 2 out of 5.

Had her as a teacher, loved her. Had her as a boss and ran! She teaches so many great things but doesn't apply them to her own business and school, treats her staff like they owe her with no incentives and she took our benefits to put money in her own pockets . Biggest disappointment ever. Mentor no more.

Management including HR can use a face-lift. Unprofessional and rude.

Chrissy Mayfield, Marmot, Rohnert Park, CA, 94928

Rating: 1 out of 5.

Incompetent. Total back stabber. Barely knew how to turn on a computer when she started. Only reason she became a “manager” was because she was favored by the other former bully of the department. She’s a show off and a know it all. Never forgiving this waste of human tissue.

TiffaNY Posey, Oakland, CA

Rating: 1 out of 5.

This department had almost no turnover until this person became manager. Now, people can't leave quick enough. She doesn't respond to employees, plays favorites very openly, harasses employees, discriminates, makes those she doesn't like follow different rules....her name should be Nightmare!

Tanya Vandenbosche, Actiance, Belmont, CA

Rating: 1 out of 5.

If there was a rating lower than 1, I'd use it. Vandenbosche was simply a tyrant to work for; absent from work, firing people at will and without adequate cause. Often she would embarrass and insult employees in front of supervisors, colleagues and others. Lacking empathy is one thing; cruelty and humiliation is entirely another. Never in my career have I ever worked for an employer who was not only responsible for the high attrition rate at a tech company, but to work for a most distasteful individual on a personal and professional basis.

Janet Ward, CO-OP Financial Services, Rancho Cucamonga, CA

Rating: 1 out of 5.

Janet came to our company and department with the idea that we were all inept and that we needed to be trained on introductory project management. Yes, I agree that we needed more process and sophisticated tooling in place, but she completely disregarded the fact that we are professionals all coming from different backgrounds. We actually harnessed a lot of expertise in this area, but she didn't explore that. She offended the group by spending almost the entire area meeting giving us "lessons" on agile development, project management, and Microsoft Project. We were all frustrated with her lack of consideration for the group. She also dictated a group project that is usually decided as a group effort. The project revolves around setting up folders on a network drive for project documentation, which completely ignores any type of well thought content strategy. She is bossy and seems to only care about what the executives think about her. If she is ever your manager at CO-OP or any other company, I would run as fast I could. She doesn't care what you know - it's all about her.
