Jeffrey Odel, 635 W 165th Street, NYC, NY, 10032

Rating: 3 out of 5.

Knowledgeable BUT rude! No bedside manner. Lost sight in eye due to blood clot and told me to adjust that I’m not the first. Really?!

Jeffrey Odel, 635 W 165th Street, NYC, NY, 10032

This guy is RUDE and arrogant! His knowledge is difficult to to focus on when he is condescending and rude. Caused a seen with someone’s spouse because she was waiting for her husband after his appointment with Dr. Odel. He scolded her for the position of her facial mask. The woman was shaken by his demeanor towards her and frankly so was I an others in the waiting area. The woman did address the doctor about his tone. He lunged towards her and shouted but she held her own. As for myself he was extremely knowledgeable but when I asked for him to go over something he said his response was “why were you not listening?”. There are other fine doctors. If you are stressed about something that has occurred to your sight skip this guy! Plenty of EXCELLENT doctors in NYC.

keith raskin, 317 east 34 st, new york, NY

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Dr. Raskin is the One!! last feb,. my then 14 year-old boy started to have pain in his right wrist, with no obvious injury, and with rest, pain med, he did not get any better but worse. after second mri in july, he was diagnosed with kienbock's disease and was put in cast. we were graciously recommended by our dr. to look for a more experienced surgeon for this condition. so from then and there, my family started a very long, hard and draining journey for a trustworthy surgeon to operate on my son for this rare but serious condition, esp. in a teenager. we covered pretty much all the renowned pediatric orthopedic facility on the east coast, including boston children's hospital, children's hospital of philadelphia, hss in nyc, and met with top pediatric orthopedics. unfortunately, each dr. had his own understanding of the condition and no two came up with the same surgery plan and none sounded even close to being assuring for his own plan. at one point we were told to go back and wait till the condition got worse enough for the very aggressive surgery at the next level. meanwhile my son, a very athletic kid and a competitive baseball player, was wearing the case from elbow down ( from the diagnosis in july till surgery in dec). frustration, exhaustion, desperation, helplessness, financial burden, missing school....all that doesnot even begin to describe what we went through.... untill in nov., right before thanksgiving, i was sitting in front of my computer, having exhausted all resources and feeling desperate, not knowing where to go next, when i got a phone call from dr. raskin's office that changed everything!! in no time, i found myself sitting with my son and dr. raskin in his office, settling down on his least aggressive, most assuring and convincing surgery plan with best postoperative prospect. dr. raskin, is god-sent!! he is very kind, patient, personable, understanding, warm. his office feels like a living room at a friend's house, very relaxing and welcoming. his assistant and staffs are very patient and attentive. above all this, dr. raskin is proved to be and stays as an experienced, top-notch surgeon in his field. in april this year, four months after the surgery, my son was cleared for sports and nowadays, he is pitching and in-fielding for baseball and dunking on basketball court. my family cant never thank dr. raskin enough!! we recommend him highly and without any reservation.

Raja Flores, 1470 Madison av, New york, NY

The worst experience I had with a Clinic visit in my life, arrived 11:25 for my 11:30 appointment, no space to sit over croweded, only have been able to check in at 12:15 then waited and the dr assistant came out apologizing for the delays as this was their first day back to office, which is not my problem if they don't triple book people, then when we asked her how long more she checked inside and came back at 12:45 to say it will be 45 min at least, which I assumed would be another 1-1:30 hrs to call me inside then another wait to see a Dr who is already late by nearly 2-3 hours. So I decided to leave and handed over my bracelet to her as we have work to do and my office leave was for 1-2 hours and not the whole day. A total waste of time to see this Dr and I was there for a possible surgery comsultation, imagine I would trust this Dr for a surgery, no way, this is NYC and there hundreds of Doctors who respect us more than this. Never back again in this facility.

Jeffrey Aronowitz, Watertown, NY

Rating: 1 out of 5.

Terrible experience!! Both the Doctor and the receptionist (who I believe is Dr. Aronowitz’s wife) show absolutely no compassion, are rude and incredibly cheap. I was desperate to get my teenage child to see a Psychiatrist because they were having sudden uncharacteristic and very scary symptoms their senior year of high school. I quickly learned it is very difficult to find these services in the North Country. They agreed to see my child but made it clear I had to pay $350.00 by cash or credit card on the spot and they would not handle any insurance. I was told I could submit the receipt myself and try to get reimbursed but my usually excellent insurance said the prices were over double what is considered reasonable and customary and reimbursed less than half. Subsequently Dr. Aronowitz scheduled 15 minute visits ( which were usually about 10 min) every 2 weeks for a continued period of time. He refused to prescribe meds for any longer period of time so I had to keep going back. Eventually he let him come once a month for a while. Each of those short visits cost $150.00 and most of the time he kept the meds exactly the same. My child, who was just starting college, accidentally missed one of those 15 minute appointments. When we came back for the next appointment we were told we had to pay the entire $150.00 for the missed appointment plus another $150.00 for the new one. I told my child to ask the doctor if he could work out a payment plan to pay off the $150.00 from the missed appointment and the doctor said “No, I’m not in the business of lending money - make your mom pay and you can work out a plan with her.” This was a college student and it was the first missed appointment! Any dealings I had with either the receptionist or the doctor were horrible- they are both extremely rude and extremely greedy people, obviously only in it for the money. The Dr. has absolutely no bedside mannner and definitely had no warmth to his personality whatsoever. He comes across as very arrogant and uncaring for sure. If you can go to anyone else please do. I was in a desperate situation but they both lack any compassion or decency and I would go anywhere else if you are able. Wish I could give zero points!

Buffalo Neurosurgery, P.Jeffrey Lewis, Orchard Park, NY

Rating: 5 out of 5.

We would refer Dr. P. Jeffrey Lewis to anyone that has spine or herniated disc. I have had excellent surgery on my spine. I have an arthritic spine. In the past 16 years I have had discs repaired and replaced through his mini micro surgerical procedures. He gets rid of the pain and has you up and walking. I can't praise him enough. He did three proceedures and everyone was great and sensitive of my discogenic spine.
