We have way too many parks and the maintenance of the parks is embarrassing. Our city parks are ugly, poorly placed, poorly planned, and poorly managed. It seems all you want to do is get more land for more parks. But the parks are not regularly mowed or maintained. The plantings and flower beds are nonexistent. The sidewalks, if they exist, are narrow, cracked, and uneven. The parking, if there is any is, is unsafe or in the dirt. This may be what parks in a 3rd world country look like. And why are there so many used condoms and gay men hanging out at the parks at night? Shouldn't your department or the police do something about that? Kids should not have to see that or touch that. I can only imagine what juices are left behind on the benches and kids equipment. Everything is so ugly and unsanitary.
