To start, I have never been so disappointed with the a service from any staff member in the Council Rock School district. The service that I have received from this guidance counselor is far below expectations. This year, debatably the most important year of my high school career, has been the worst year that I have ever endured. My classes have been messed up twice, both due to Mrs. Solit’s mistakes. I had one request going into this year and it was completely disregarded. The lack of care from her side has led me to be beyond stressed, and has even led to anxiety. From conversations with several other students and previous students of hers, I have become aware that I am not the only one who has had these issues with her. It has gotten to the point where my parents are concerned and have stepped in. My parents have attempted to speak with Mrs. Solit more than two times (ranging from phone calls to emails), and have gotten no response. Her “advice” contradicts everything I have ever been told. She has practically told me to give up. My advice to any student or parent that enters CR South and heard that she is your counselor is to request a change. Just moved back to PA and researched carefully. Chose Dr. West at Garden Spot Dental. Could not be happier. First visit and cleaning in May. Lost part of tooth and big filling over weekend. They took me first thing Monday and actually got me out in 2 1/2 hours with a perfect fitting new crown fashioned by a machine right in office. Sweet. Love modern dentistry. Excellent support staff and high-end dental assistants. I made the right choice.

Staff was polite. But the empty tables were dirty I had to clean my own table off while the staff stood talking about there personal life’s. The floors needed to be swept there was food on them in the dinning area. I ordered a hot fudge sundae with my food but there was none I don’t know if you were out or the pump was just empty but no one went to see. I used to work for McDonald’s so I know what the standards are and I am sorry for being honest but they were not met. Thank you for your time

Poor communication skills, sits with her back to you on the computer the entire visit, instead of both being on the computer and talking to patient, explains nothing. May ask a question then smirk like she doesn’t believe you. Not what I’ve experienced or come to expect from Jefferson

As a current HS student, I've realized how much Ms. McGarrity has truly screwed me over. I had her during online classes and she was an absolute nightmare, to say the least. No 12 year old child should have to be constantly told that they are "stupid" or berated daily like how she did to me and my peers. As a technology teacher, she should've known that there would be many technical errors when it came to online learning and that it isn't her students' fault. Instead, she would guilt trip us into thinking it was our fault... I truly wouldn't wish anyone to have her as their teacher and I feel sorry for whoever has had her. It's surprising that she still has her job, I'm honestly not sure why considering what an awful person she is to her students.
